As members of the Roblox community unlock these gates, leaders will be tracked on a Ready Player One leaderboard within Roblox. Roblox will provide a series of clues that will guide participants on a search for hidden keys that unlock hidden gates. Roblox will promote Ready Player One through a parallel adventure to the movie that will take participants across the diverse virtual universe within the platform.
The movie, which is scheduled to debut in theaters worldwide on March 29, 2018, is based on Ernest Cline’s best-selling book and was directed by Steven Spielberg. SAN MATEO, Calif – Ma– Roblox, the most popular entertainment platform for play, announced that they will be promoting the upcoming theatrical release of Ready Player One through a series of special events starting today. Roblox founder and CEO, David Baszucki, interviews Ready Player One author, Ernest Cline, at SXSW. Roblox has apps for the phone, I might try that instead.Ernest Cline’s “OASIS” comes to life on Roblox, a modern-day version of the metaverse. I do have an Oculus headset, but the thing just wasn’t very comfortable to wear for long periods of time with my glasses, so don’t use it very often. No idea if that’s an accurate description, but I’m going to check out the service. Roblox reminds me somewhat of Second Life. Roblox and Ready Player Two are calling Gunters back into action for an epic treasure hunt that spans seven games and awards thousands of winners with cool prizes.
Ernest Cline, the author of Ready Player Two will be on live to help kick off the event. Roblox, a virtual world online which is like a very primitive version of the 3D virtual world Oasis featured in the movie and book, is having a special treasure hunt starting on Decemat 10am PT. Steven Spielberg directed the first film. A movie sequel hasn’t been announced as of this writing. Some hate it and say it’s a retread of the first book, others are more positive. The sequel novel was released on November 24 and is receiving mixed reviews so far.
Am not familiar with Roblox, but I enjoyed Ready Player One.
